Result All Aged Retriever Trial 4th Oct 2025 at Holway, Dorset

Thankfully the day dawned bright and very breezy for our first Retriever Trial event of the season, an All Aged Trial at Inpark Farm by kind permission of Mr Robert and Mrs Nicki Atkinson.
This is a challenging ground and today would prove no exception.
We had a variety of experiences for dog and handler, 3 duck drives, a couple of pheasant drives and some walkup.
Our Judges were Mr Mike Jones, Mrs Jill Gardner, Ms Jess Latham and Mr Chris Gore and they worked well together, giving the dogs every opportunity to succeed.
Many thanks to our team of guns, lead by Steve Langdon who battled in very windy conditions to get the turbo charged birds to the ground and did a fantastic job.
The Steward of the Beat was Martin Atkinson aided and abetted by his lovely family, beating in difficult conditions and producing the birds.
I would like to thank my great team of helpers Claire Tredrea, Fen d’Lucie, Judy Venables, Harriet Ramsay, Simon Jones, Mark Smith, Jill Smith and Nigel Shepherd, who all contributed to the smooth running of the day. There was a great atmosphere and it was an enjoyable day for all.
A massive Thank you also goes to Skinners and Gamekeepers Goods for their continued support.
The trial finished with a full set of results and that were well deserved to those finishing in the awards.
